1. The organization that issued the question

Differences: IELTS (IELTS) is an international English proficiency test jointly organized by the British Council (The), Cambridge University Local Examinations () and the Australian Education International Development Agency (IDP).

The new TOEFL TOEFLiBT (BasedTest) is a brand-new comprehensive English test method (improved from the old TOEFL) launched in September 2005 by an established educational service organization with a history of more than 100 years in the United States, referred to as "ETS".

2. Cultural differences

Differences: The IELTS exam is based on internationalization, and the knowledge of cultural geography and other aspects involved is mostly from the UK and Australia. TOEFL is based on American English. Listening is completely standard American pronunciation, and there are also American idioms and slang words, which involve a lot of content about American history, culture, politics, geography and so on.
